We created the Suzanne Manlet Foundation (SMF) to honor Suzanne Manlet. Suzane was a Ventura County icon – coach, teacher, player, mentor, friend to everyone she ever met.

The Suzanne Manlet Foundation, through the Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame, annually contibutes $2000.00 for the ‘Hall of Fame Suzanne Manlet Foundation Scholorship’, awarded to a male and a female “Hall of Fame Athlete of the Year”. Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame athletes are invited to submit essay applications, with their information forms when they are nominated, to represent their schools at the annual Hall of Fame Induction Banquet.

The Suzanne Manlet Foundation is a memorial to the legendary CIF Championship Softball coach at Simi Valley High School. The generosity of the Foundation reflects Suzanne’s ebullient spirit and sense of purpose. More than wins and losses, she instilled in her players a work ethic and sense of mission that superseded the actual games. Her Foundation works like Suzanne did – to impact the lives of people in the most positive way it can.

Suzanne Manlet was posthumously inducted into the Ventura County Sports of Hall of Fame in 2004.
